Let's see. I usually listen to anime openings and closing theme songs since I'm a big nerd lol. So mainly Jpop I guess. But I used to listen to a lot of power metal and melodic metal. I still listen to Concerto Moon and NightWish. I also do techno, but I don't pay attention to the dj names or the song titles; if it has base and if it's not too repetitive, then I'm good.

BMTH, Attack Attack!, August Burns Red, I Set My Friends On Fire, Underoath, and Rise Against seems to be the bands you're missing for hard rock/heavy metal. The first five bands are more hardcore/postcore though.

I enjoy listening to trip-hop and basically anything electronic. Classic rock and classical are also favorites, however I've been listening to electronic stuff the most lately. Portishead and London Elektricity are probably my current two favorite bands.
