HEY GUYS !
I need you guys to help me & my mentors / fellow mentees out D:
Theres this charity thing that the bank chase is doing and the program i attend really needs it .
Let me tell you about it;;
The program is called Minds Matter. It's basically a saturday school for low-income students to help them prepare for college. It's FREE, which gives us (mentees) an advantage. It's not just for anyone, it's for students who actually really intend to go to college, but have no idea what to do (like me). In this program, each mentee gets a mentor and the mentors watch over you, not like a teacher, but like a best friend. They help you write personal essays (simliar to college app essays), teach me new writing techniques, update us on whats going in the world, and provide me lunch! Seriously guys, my mentors are the best. They helped me through out so much, idk how to repay them. Everyone at the program is just amazing and it's so fun to be there!
Thanks to the program, i get the chance to apply and visit colleges for the summer and ACTUALLY STAY THERE. I'm going to get the chance to experience college life; living in the dorms, attending college classes, participating in college events, etc. Theres only one catch:
They can't send over 300 kids without money. So Chase's charity give away is pretty awesome for us!

| I keep trying to vote for it, but whenever I click "Become a Fan" so that I can vote, a link comes up that says that I need verification. I click it, and it takes me to a page where I choose the charity. When I choose Minds Matter, NY, it takes me back to the first page. If I try to vote anyway, says I need to become a fan. How do I vote?
Edit: Never mind, I got it and voted. Have fun at college if you can get it! | |
