Selected GMs from GM Applications

I was kinda thinking of that too. But I think alot of people just register on the forum, put an app and don't look at all the other topics. Ofcourse it's not just the forum that's important, but still...

And in this new forums, there has only currently been 9.

Unless the Admins that are picking the GMs are keeping track of all of the applications by saving them or saving the applicants names, there is no way to know who was a potential GM from the old forums and what their application was like.

And ever since the GM Apps came out, telling fellow Sodaers to apply in order to recruit more GMs, there has been several new GMs selected on our server, and only 1 of them applied, but had asked for a interview beforehand. And the others did not apply, and some of them, don't even go on the forums. I'm not saying that they are not fit to be a GM or they got their job unfairly, because I am pretty sure they might have some sort of special reason such as experiences and connections.

I remember seeing on the other forums that D3m0nicSoul, the owner of SodaMaplestory, saying that the new GMs were going to be picked out before the new repack, and that new repack is just inches away. What new GMs were he talking about? The new GMs that were already selected from just inside the game? Or the new GMs from the GM Applications? I am sure we would all like to know that. And how many will be selected to join the GM team.

But quantity isn't whats important here. We want quality from our GM's. 1 good GM, may match 3 bad GMs... or even more. I'm not here to say we have very bad GMs. I know that everybody is not perfect and we mess up sometimes. But many of our fellow players has been complaining about the current GMs about this and that, and someone needs to satisfy and fit their needs.

And what is a good GM and a bad GM you ask? Lets let the players have a say in on this one, because we cannot have a one-sided view on this, we must have everybodies opinion. What kind of GM would make a good GM? One that hosts a lot of events? One that hosts "SUCCESSFUL and SATISFYING" events? One that helps and answers to the fellow players needs? One that likes to joke around and have fun? or One that sits there, pretends to AFK, and ignores our nooby needs?

Sorry for typing up such a long thread.
The question is still there, but just with that much more to think about while at that.

If these questions cannot be answered, I understand and will not be offended if this thread was deleted. But I would just like you guys to consider all of these important part of a GM that would make a difference in our players. And I was curious too.

Well.. I can't answer with honest questions because I really don't know what d3m0nic has in mind BUT.. I'm the only help there is so I'll say my opinion.

First question: Yes, I'm pretty sure GMs are still going to be selected from the GM App's. But because we moved forums there isn't a lot of GM applications.. most of the apps on the old forums were from people who are lazy to look at other topics and threads as Tom said. But I'm pretty sure by now those people are gone, banned or just got tired of waiting. But I'm sure d3m0nic will choose who he thinks is best for the job. And as far as keeping track, I don't think the Admins are , seeing how the players know about the new forums.. so they should post on their own.. I mean why should the Admin's keep track of someone else's loss? And I don't think there are any GMs picked from the previous forum yet.. but I'm not 100% sure.

Second question: I did not keep any record because it's not my loss.. the players know about the new forums as I previously said. But if this question is hinting towards me about not applying and stuff.. I'm truely sorry.. I mean I didn't know I was gonna get hired.. I only asked to be a coder I guess you could say.. and then next minute I was getting interviewed and then hired.. But I really am sorry.. If you want me to post an app I will , it's not a problem . And yes I'm pretty sure there going to be selected before the repack comes out.. but d3m0nic has been working very hard on the repack so he hasn't had time to really decide on the GMs (That's just from what I know >_<). So hopefully if you be patient he will decide soon enough.

Third question: I'm really not to sure about this.. I could be wrong.. But in my opinion a good GM would be someone who answers all questions that players ask or try to answer them, Host event's when necessary to satisfy players needs, Make jokes and have fun because that's what it's all about.. is having fun and enjoying what people bring to the community, and be active most of the time unless your busy.. I mean everyone has a life, they can't be on MapleStory 24/7.. but if your someone like that then no offence but that's considered a nerd.. and I'm pretty sure none of use Sodaers are .. as for a bad GM..well noone can be a bad GM unless their really really lazy.. like afking all the time and not answering questions, needs, and takes things seriously and way too far.. someone like that should get fired and never hired again.. but that's just my opinion.

Lols, I'm not going to vote on anybody..I know some GM's better then others but that doesn't mean the others aren't good GM's.

Sorry Christopher, you were originally on there, but I was only allowed 10 options
I had to take off a lot of other GMs too. I did not forget you D:.
I just put on the more active GMs and the ones that everyone seems to talk about.
Thats why I also put Other and why post below, for other fave GMs
but that was kind of confusing so sorry
